At The Connor Group, excellence isn’t an act, it’s a habit. Few embody this more than partner and senior director Kim Whitesell. Whether she’s reengineering one of our most complex properties or presenting a prestigious award, Kim approaches every task with the same unwavering commitment.
Her dedication was on full display at this year’s National Awards Dinner in Louisville. Kim took the stage to recognize partner and senior lead tech Matt Brewer with the Core Value Award. On the most exciting night of the year for our associates, Kim made sure the moment lived up to its weight.
“I think it’s the most prestigious award we have,” Kim shared. “For Matt, I gave an example of how he exemplified each core value as I presented. When we give these awards, there needs to be a story behind them, something our new associates can aspire to.”
What Kim didn’t know was that later that same night, she’d have her own moment of recognition. Soon she’d step back onto the stage, not as a presenter, but as the recipient of the National Core Value Award.
“It’s my favorite award to give, so to be recognized nationally for upholding the core values is extremely special,” said Kim.
She may run the largest property in our portfolio, but her impact stretches far beyond. Whether she’s assisting in Phoenix or helping with hurricane cleanup in Tampa, Kim’s leadership knows no bounds.
Alongside Kim’s National Core Value Award, 11 other National Awards were presented in our broadcast. As the broadcast played at celebration dinners across the country, the energy was electric. Rooms filled with cheers and applause as we honored the associates who never back down from a challenge, refuse to settle for average and push the limits of what’s possible.

In Denver, excellence defined Olivine’s year, as they took home the Kids & Community Impact Award. Olivine beat their NOI budget by $382,814, creating $938,000 in value for our non-profit arm. For sales associate Lia Wilson, the moment hit home.
“My family is full of educators, and every time I tell them about the unique ways Kids & Community Partners is helping people, they are always amazed!” Lia explained. “Knowing that our efforts have made almost a million dollar impact is something we are all extremely proud of.”
Excellence isn’t just measured by numbers. It’s in the details, the work ethic and the daily commitment to being the best. That’s what drives groundskeeper Kobi Sittman, our National Top Battle Grounds Award winner, who keeps Bayside Arbors in Tampa pristine. For Kobi, the moment was truly meaningful, underscoring his mission to continuously improve and uplift those around him.
“I want to keep growing with this team and this company,” Kobi shared, “I also want to inspire others in the deaf community to not be afraid to get out there, be yourself and make a difference for those around you!”
To every winner, every finalist and every team that pushed the limits this year, thank you and congratulations! Your hard work and dedication make this company what it is.
