Put on-the-spot

While our associates often share similar traits, they come from all corners of the map and a wide array of backgrounds. In our Loop series, Five Question Friday, we talk with Connor Group associates and share a fun glimpse into their world.

Join us as we share their stories, experiences and the influencers that shaped their philosophies on not just The Connor Group, but life itself.

Our next interviewee is senior sales associate Nick Friedrichs from our Raleigh-Durham market. Nick joined the company in 2018. Thanks to his infectious personality from a previous career in the restaurant industry, Nick has already played a role in two major dispositions, The Pointe at Chapel Hill and West Village, our largest sale ever. He quickly became known for his interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and relentlessness to achieve his goals.

QUESTION: You have to go on a road trip from Denver to Tampa. You have to bring three associates with you. Who are they and why?
ANSWER: I’m taking senior sales associate Tiffany Schenck, partner and senior lead tech Brittany Merritt, and partner and regional manager and sales trainer Kia Ngo with me. Tiffany and I would drive. We can talk for hours and make sure everyone is having a good time. If we need any vehicle maintenance, Britt will have us back up and running in no time. As for Kia, she is our fearless leader!

Q: What’s your favorite property The Connor Group ever owned? Why?
A: I would have to say West Village in Downtown Durham because of its uniqueness! West Village had three different phases ranging from an old-school tobacco warehouse to a brand-new luxury high-rise. We truly had something for everybody!

Q: What superpower would you want to have and why?
A: I would want to have supersonic speed for my superpower! We have 390 apartments/townhomes at The Bradford. If I could take tours at speed levels similar to Larry launching into space, we would be in business!

Q: When you think about success, who comes to mind and why?
A: Larry Connor. Larry is an inspiration. He has a mindset where if he wants to do something he does it! Go to outer space? Done. Deepest parts of the ocean? Done. It’s incredible to get to say I work for The Connor Group!

Q: When they make a movie about The Connor Group, who will be cast to play you and why?
A: John Krasinski. He’s already accustomed to playing a role in an office setting. He’s witty, smart, and charming. All qualities I wish I had.
