R&R Q&A

As you’re probably aware, The Connor Group has a unique and impactful reward-and-recognition culture. From R&R wish lists, to awards breakfasts, to Winners Circle cards and beyond, we routinely reinforce our core value that “people count” in very tangible ways.

That’s why we recently asked a number of Connor Group veterans to recount their most memorable R&R moments.

Today we’re chatting with partner Jennie Juran.

What’s the most memorable R&R you’ve ever received? Becoming a partner.

Why? It was such an unforgettable moment. I was tricked into playing Family Feud lightening round and the final question was “who was the first sales associate to ever be directly promoted to partner?” And the answer was me! I was so surprised and so excited that I didn’t even know what Larry said about me!  Luckily it’s on video so I can go back and watch anytime.

What’s the most memorable R&R you’ve ever witnessed? Bob Lloyd sent a memo out about Kayla Martin last year. He had a video interview and the interviewee was at Somerset. After the interview, he wanted to talk to me about the property’s performance, but Kayla told him I wasn’t available. Instead of saying ok and hanging up, he asked her where we were on renewals, traffic and approved rentals. Kayla knew exactly where we were MTD and how many more of each we needed to hit our goal. And she did it without a stat sheet. It was impressive. So Bob sent a memo about Kayla to recognize her.

Why? It made her year and it really showed that people count.

What’s the most memorable R&R you’ve ever given? I’ve given people different R&R gifts over the years, but what is most memorable is when you get to give an award or promotion to someone on your team.

Why? I love being able to recognize them in a room full of their peers and mentors. Usually, the excitement and surprise on their face is priceless. Most recently, I promoted Kayla Martin to sales manager and Megan Call to senior sales. Neither one knew it was happening, which always makes it extra special.
