While our associates often share similar traits, they come from all corners of the map and a wide array of backgrounds. In our Loop series, Five Question Friday, we talk with Connor Group associates and share a fun glimpse into their world.
Join us as we share their stories, experiences and the influencers that shaped their philosophies on not just The Connor Group, but life itself.
This Friday turns up the energy with lead tech Jimmy Stastny. When you first meet Jimmy, you come away feeling like he’s someone you’ve known for years. His positive, can-do attitude is as infectious as the twangy sounds of a classic rock guitar solo. It should be no surprise to find out he once attended a sale-a-bration dressed in a bright orange suit as one half of the duo from the movie “Dumb and Dumber.”

Beyond his role with The Connor Group, he was once a member of Team USA’s junior roller hockey team. But before we give away all the fun facts, let’s hear from Jimmy in his own words.
What are your nicknames? Who gave them to you and why?
My whole family calls me B.J. Most people don’t know my first name is actually Bradley, not Jimmy. So, if you ever need to email me, remember its bstastny, not jstastny!
What’s your favorite property The Connor Group ever owned? Why?
Terracina in Broomfield, CO. That’s where I started at The Connor Group. I started out as a turn tech with little experience. Thanks to great training I moved up to lead tech there. The team I worked with at Terracina became family to me. Most of them came to my wedding. Before moving to Tampa, my last night in Colorado was spent having a great time with them! Miss you guys!
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
“It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice.”
My mom used to always tell me this. No matter how big your bank account is or regardless of your job title, just be kind. It’s free and it’s fun.

Which band – past or present – would you want to play at the next sale-a-bration?
Led Zeppelin. Why? Cause it’s Zeppelin, dude. What songs? All of them.
Describe your best day ever.
The day my son was born just so happened to be the same day hurricane Ian hit Florida. Let’s just say it was an interesting day!
