The Final Chapter

UPDATE: The Baja 1000 Race is under a 24-hour weather delay due to heavy rains and will begin Saturday, November 23rd at 10:30 a.m. Pacific Time (1:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time).

Team C Racing is nearing the end of the road.  After six years and a great deal of success, Team C is planning to make this year’s Baja 1000 its final and best race yet.

“We are going all out to win the Baja 1000 this Friday,” Larry said.  “If we break down or don’t finish, that’s ok.  We don’t want to come in second.”

The Baja 1000 puts desert racing’s best to the ultimate test on a grueling 800.5-mile course.  Larry will be following the Team C Truck from above in a helicopter until the sun sets.  He’ll then continue checking in with the drivers at pit stops right up until the finish line in Ensenada BC, Mexico.

Team C Racing was founded in 2014 and is a two-time class winner of both the Baja 500 and the Baja 1000. Team C Trophy Truck completed a perfect 2015 season by winning all five races in the SCORE International Off-Road Desert Racing series in the Trophy Truck Spec class. It’s an accomplishment only two other drivers have achieved in 48 years!

The focus this weekend is to bring home a win for the team, most of whom have volunteered their time.

“We revolutionized the sport with the technology we introduced, new ideas, and the relationships we developed, but now it’s time to move on to the next adventure.  Everything has a life expectancy,” Larry said.

What is the next adventure for Larry?  His latest thrill is indoor skydiving!  He also is looking forward to flying his F-5 Fighter Jet.  He may even take on a new frontier and visit the International Space Station…stay tuned!
