When it comes to relentless pursuit – this picture says it all.

Since late April, Connor Group partner and digital media specialist, Aaron Helfferich has been visiting properties in need of new marketing photos.

“Property photo season is in full swing,” said Aaron. “Blue skies, lush landscaping, and clean sparkling pools means it’s prime time to take full advantage of the warm weather months.”

At least 15 properties will have new marketing photos taken this year. During a recent trip to West Village, Aaron took the photo project to new heights. While scouting locations at West Village in Durham, NC, partner Pedro Ducos gave Aaron a behind-the-scenes rooftop tour of the property. Pedro claims it offers the best views of the city. The unique vantage point did not disappoint.

The trip to the top was just as exciting. Getting there required a climb up a 30ft vertical ladder, something Aaron says was unlike anything he’s encountered while taking photos.

“It’s by far the most interesting thing I’ve done to get a property photo,” said Aaron. “I’m eager to see what tops it.”

Aaron says taking photos for the company usually isn’t this exciting. He loves capturing the sunset or blue sky photos with a little bit of clouds the best. It takes planning, scheduling, and a bit of luck to get the best shots.

Aaron shared his photo favorites:

1. Twilight at the hangar – It required finding the right spot ahead of time and waiting for the sky to turn the cool shade of neon blue after a sunset. Taking multiple pics at different intervals can give you the opportunity to find the perfect shade of blue during the editing process.

2. McCauly Crossing I took sunset photos a McCauly that turned out great. These required moving around quickly between shots so the colors in the sky didn’t fade too quickly with the sunset.

3. The Falls – I found the perfect spot where a resident did their own landscaping. It was a colorful and picturesque setting that was ideal for a photoshoot.

4. Glenmuir –  When I last took photos at Glenmuir in Chicago it was forecast to be terrible weather. I went to the property anyway to at least get interiors but the day turned out to be picturesque. Bright blue partly cloudy skies.
