Best in class

Today, Inc. Magazine revealed its 2023 Best in Business Awards, the annual list of companies positively impacting their communities, industry, and the world. The Connor Group was recognized in six categories. The news announced this morning is a national nod to the tireless pursuit of excellence and consistent dedication our associates exhibit daily.

Our company has been nationally recognized as one of the 215 companies and one of the only 23 companies to receive recognition in the General Excellence category.

“This national recognition from Inc. Magazine is a testament to our associates’ hard work and dedication,” said Larry Connor, founder and managing partner. “It reflects our relentless pursuit of excellence in business and making meaningful impacts in the communities where we operate.”

Inc.’s Best in Business Awards are known for celebrating private companies that make remarkable contributions across various industries and society. Unlike traditional award criteria focusing solely on financial metrics, the Inc. Best in Business selection process emphasizes the qualitative aspects of companies’ achievements and their ability to effect positive change.

The magazine noted that the area of lasting impact in our community is the opening of The Greater Dayton School.

“When I started at The Connor Group almost 13 years ago, our central office consisted of 35 people working in a rented space in an office park,” said partner and director of the company’s Kids & Community Partners, Ryan Ernst. “We owned and operated apartments in six markets. That was it.

It’s pretty crazy to see us recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the top businesses in the country and getting a nod for our non-profit work.”

Here are the categories in which the 2023 Inc. Best in Business Awards recognize The Connor Group:

🏆 General Excellence, Large Company Size (100 – 499 Associates)

🏆 Education

🏆 Enduring Impact for our 15+ years in business

🏆 Midwest Region

🏆 Real Estate.

Our company will be one of only eight featured in the print edition of the magazine, which will be available on December 12th.
