Successful managers master our systems and follow them. They need commitment, grit and the right mindset.
In Dayton, manager Rebekah Roat proved to have an immense commitment from day one.
“It’s been impressive to watch Rebekah’s growth,” partner and regional head Sal Gracia said. “From day one, she’s been able to take direct feedback, implement changes and go back to fundamentals.”
After Rebekah completed her training, she was sent to Austin Springs in Dayton – a property where the leadership turned over twice this year. Rebekah successfully ran the property, exceeding NOI by $8,000 YTD. Thanks to her efforts, the property is now positioned for a $7 million supplemental or refinance loan in 2021.
“Every time Rebekah faced a problem, she used her resources, took direct feedback and fixing it made her better long-term,” Sal said.
Just ten months after she raised her hand to move to Dayton and start her new career with The Connor Group, Rebekah raised her hand again. This time, she’s moved to Indianapolis to become the market founder at Domain at Bennett Farms.
Just down the interstate in Cincinnati, manager Tiffany Montoya’s leadership put The Drexel at Oakley in a position for success this past year.
“We bought The Drexel just two weeks after Tiffany hit her one-year mark, and that’s when she really started hitting her stride,” Sal said. “She acted like an owner from the beginning, making good decisions that were good for the long-term success of Drexel.”
Customer service at Drexel is an impressive 4.19. The team exceeded the property’s NOI goal and is on track for a $36.5 million refinance in 2021.
“Tiffany has been a phenomenal leader who has helped develop others in the market. She’s become an in-market mentor for other new managers and has put us in position to have an excellent 2021.”
In Raleigh-Durham, Melissa Olsen was asked to jump in and take the reigns at Pointe at Chapel Hill in June. Her leadership and commitment drastically turned the property’s performance around.
“Melissa is organized, driven, and relentless,” partner and regional manager and sales trainer Kia Fenty Ngo said. “She is an achiever, and that’s what has made her successful.”
Pointe went from missing goals to exceeding NOI by $48,522 in 2020. The property is now on track to close a $41 million refinance in 2021 and potentially list for sale later this year.
With Melissa’s commitment, the sky’s the limit.
“I know she will continue to drive the results at The Pointe,” Kia said.
