Jenein Levels Up

This week, the atrium at the CSO was full of excitement as partner and cultural icon Jenein Sous marked not one, but two monumental milestones. In one whirlwind of a day, she celebrated the announcement of Wheaton 121 going under contract and received a well-earned promotion from senior manager to senior director.

“When it was announced that I was being promoted, I was almost at a loss for words,” said Jenein.

Jenein started with The Connor Group in 2020 and hit the ground running, training with partner and senior director Michelle Murphy. After hitting NOI objectives and facilitating successful sales at Stonebridge in Chicago and Scofield in Austin, she returned to the Windy City to take on the challenge of managing Wheaton 121. She embraced the task with grit and determination.

Since returning to Chicago in 2023, Jenein has taken charge and coached her team with unwavering dedication. They are consistently surpassing expectations in renewals, approved rentals and customer service. Her exceptional performance not only earned her partnership at the National Awards in February but positioned Wheaton 121 to be sold as well. Jenein’s promotion to senior director is a testament to her relentless pursuit of excellence.

“I know that when you deliver results at The Connor Group, you’re rewarded and recognized. I considered that one day I may be promoted, but I never expected it to happen this quickly,” said Jenein.

Partner and senior director Katie Powell and Michelle had the honor of presenting Jenein’s promotion in front of the entire CSO, making the moment even more meaningful.

“Over the last four years, I have seen Jenein grow and turn into one of the most hard-working and committed associates we have here,” Michelle shared.

Jenein also noted that the occasion felt even more special since she was able to share it with her peers who have always supported her.

“Michelle took me under her wing from day one. She’s the first person I call when I have a problem or need to talk through a stressful situation,” said Jenein. “It’s the same way with director of learning and development Courtney Dies and Katie. We all take care of each other.”

Jenein is also no stranger to showing new associates the ropes. She’s consistently a go-to resource, offering her expertise and working with her peers to navigate challenges.

“I’ve been training general manager in residence Erika Perry, and I know that when she gets to her property in Atlanta, she’ll have me in her back pocket if she ever needs help. When I started, I had a strong support system, so I always try to be that person for others,” she said.

Jenein’s journey is far from over—next she’s going to the Fort Lauderdale market at Grand Riviera Miramar! Her next chapter at The Connor Group is sure to be just as transformative as her previous ones, as she brings her passion for mentoring and development with her wherever she goes.

“I’m so excited to see how else I can make an impact, not only in the Fort Lauderdale market, but being able to connect with new managers and associates everywhere. Helping people get to their goals is one of the biggest things I strive for, and I want to be a true mentor for them,” Jenein remarked.

Please join us in congratulating Jenein!
