‘Making a name for himself’

Since joining our Paddock at Eastpoint team, operations manager John Liford came out of the gate focused on building rapport. He worked to earn the trust of his team while navigating relationships with residents at the 500-unit Louisville property.

John rolled up his sleeves and worked shoulder-to-shoulder with our sales and service associates to achieve his goals.  After one full month in training, he went on a hot streak. John hit 100% of his goals for 60 days straight to close out 2022. Then, he started 2023 strong, achieving impressive stats through the first five months of the year:

  • Drove 69 pieces of traffic
  • Delivered 15 approved
  • Achieved a 47.85% closing rate

“John leads from the front,” partner and senior director Kim Whitesell said. “He has great energy with his customer service background but has won the residents over at Paddock. He has been relentless in turning delinquency around. He has really made a name for himself in the operations manager position here at The Paddock.”

In March, John successfully tested out as an operations manager. Throughout the journey, John relied on support from his team and his support system at home.

Loop recently asked John to share his favorite Winners’ Circle card with us. This is what he chose…

When did you get it?
February 13, 2023

Who was it from?
Kim Whitesell

Why did you get it?
I received it for leading The Paddock with approved rentals in January.

What does it say?
“In January you stepped up to help with the sales side of the property. You lead from the front with five approved rentals!”

Why was it so impactful?
This was so impactful for me because it was during our cleanup from the winter storm. The card gave me feedback on working on the sales side of training. Kim has always been right there with me and knew I could do both sales and operations. I was working in the op’s role, and she told me, “You can do this. Let’s go!” With all the mentoring from Kim, my ability to relate with people kicked in, and I began selling! Sales is fun, and when I’m taking myself too seriously, I just step back on the sales floor!
