In this Loop series, we talk to associates about their favorite R&R they’ve received while at The Connor Group. Below, see how communication specialist Sarah Hamic went to infinity and beyond and how her effort was rewarded and recognized.
What is your favorite reward and recognition you have received during your time with The Connor Group?
It was hard to decide what my favorite R&R has been! I can’t believe I work at a company that does R&R like ours does—I felt like no one even really noticed when I went above and beyond in previous jobs I’ve had, so to have it recognized and receive a gift for it still blows my mind!
I think my favorite R&R is the first R&R I received – a Kate Spade work tote!

Why did you receive it?
Assisting with the preparation and execution of the launch event in Florida for Larry’s Ax-1 mission.
What makes it so special?
It was my first R&R so it has definitely stuck with me— and I love a good purse! I had just started with the company about six weeks before Larry went to space. I got to jump right into helping with the final prep for the launch in Florida, which was a lot of moving parts, delays, adjustments, and communication! When the launch window was set, I was able to travel to Florida with Krista and Keri (Stafford) to assist with the day-of details and coordination for the launch event. All of that was just really exciting in itself and probably the coolest thing I had ever gotten to do at work before. And then to receive R&R for the work and effort I put into it was really the cherry on top!
How do you feel about reward and recognition as part of the culture at The Connor Group?
I think it’s really a game-changer. I love the way it’s incorporated into our culture here. Any company can say their employees matter to them, but R&R is just one way we really live: “People count.” No one I know works for a company that has a benefit like it, and honestly, I love it when I get a compliment on something that was R&R, and I get to say, “Thank you, work got it for me!” It’s a very unique thing that makes a huge impact. I’m really proud of the work I do, and it’s nice to have those reminders that work is proud of me back!
