What an IMPACT

Three new managers are ready to take the lead at our properties after testing out of the training program last month. In March, partner and VP of Training Ashley Smith proudly announced Sherri MeyersJohn Liford and Maritess Ahler successfully completed their test out at an 8.0 or higher.

“This is an extremely hard-working class from the Louisville and Minneapolis markets,” said Ashley. “These associates proved they have what it takes to be successful.”

All managers face lofty expectations and standards. They completed five months of classroom study with five additional months of hands-on training before testing out.

The testing process for associates is a two-day evaluation of their ability to execute all our processes and systems. Attention to detail is critical for associates to pass our standards.

Loop is excited to introduce you to our newest manager trainee graduates. Here is what key leaders have to say about them.

Sherri joined the Minneapolis team in July 2022 and has helped put NEON Burnsville on track to meet its October revenue target.

“Sherri has a lead-from-the-front mentality,” said Ashley. “She does not give up and is willing to push herself and her team to reach our monthly sales goals.”

Throughout the training, Sherri demonstrated grit, refusing to give up on rental goals. She called on old leads and guest cards to generate the traffic needed to get the last approved rental to hit a monthly goal.

“She is relentless. I am excited to see what she can accomplish in the future,” Ashley said.

John trained under partner and senior director Kim Whitesell in Louisville. He learned how to execute our processes and systems at Paddock at East Point, the largest property currently in our portfolio.

“The service team has bought into John’s leadership,” said partner and regional head Kristen Rutledge. “He thinks long-term with the big picture allowing his team to focus on the basics to improve our customer service.”

Throughout his training, John embraced detailed daily planning. “When managing 500 units, thoughtful productivity is necessary,” said Kristen.

Maritess Ahler worked in the retail industry before joining The Connor Group in September. Her positive energy and mindset made her fit right in with the Louisville team.

“Maritess knows how to motivate and inspire her team,” Kristen said.

“She consistently tells her team, ‘I will help you’ or ‘We will look at this together’ during daily planning meetings. It is very impactful for a salesperson to hear that from their leader.”

She scored highly on the motivate and inspire portion of the test out. But she also worked hard on planning.

“Maritess committed to organization and time management after attending an operations bootcamp.

She constantly looks for ways to improve and perform at an elite level.” Kristen said.
