Two weeks ago, we brought you a training video on mold removal. The video outlined important tips to permanently keep mold from growing in an apartment. Depending on the severity of the problem, a critical step in the prevention process might also require removing water. The latest training video highlights the water extraction process, ensuring all techs can complete it at or above standard.
“It’s critical to understand and be able to execute the water extraction process,” says partner and director of service training Paul Leber. “Whether it’s a burst pipe, a leaking window, or a faulty appliance, water issues can happen at any time.”
In the video, Paul is joined by senior lead tech Isaak Claudio from Cincinnati. Having supported multiple properties in his market and the Dayton area, Isaak has experienced countless types of water problems.
“All properties are going to experience water leaks,” said Isaak. “If you don’t act with urgency and complete these steps thoroughly, you’ll create more work for yourself in the long run.”

As explained in the video, a thorough water clean-up requires a powerful arsenal of tools.
- Water claw extractor
- Roto-vac power wand
- CFX water vacuum
- Water hoses
- Floor fans
- Dehumidifier
- Low-pressure spray bottle
- Professional grade carpet cleaning product (Magnum Blue)
It’s important to make sure your property keeps these items readily available to tackle any challenges. Taking these proactive measures is the first step to providing great customer service.
“Our residents rely on us for the right solution,” said Paul. “The quicker we can get to the root of the problem and implement a solution, the more comfortable they can be in their home.”
