Learn from the pros

Our Trainers are key in building culture in our markets and at our properties. They are known as our experts in the field and share a wealth of TCG knowledge with new associates. Their guidance helps build strong future leaders and makes our processes and systems even stronger.

Trainers are an important resource for our associates – no matter what market you’re in. Loop will be highlighting trainers from every market over the next several months. First up, we’re heading to Austin and Raleigh-Durham…

Fast forward to 2021, and Kia continues to shine as a leader in the Raleigh-Durham market. She’s currently helping lead Reserve at Cary Park, our new acquisition.

Favorite thing about working at TCG?
The people! I thrive off of people. I especially love seeing my trainees exceed and reach their goals.

Best advice you give your trainees?
Give yourself grace, and don’t expect to learn it all overnight. Be sure to follow the systems in place, and the sky’s the limit.

Hobbies/what do you like to do for fun outside of TCG?
Spending time with my daughter, Lincoln and my family. I enjoy reading and finding ways to redecorate my home.

Favorite thing about working at TCG?
There’s always a challenge, and I absolutely love that. I’m always looking to push myself to new levels. You will certainly never get bored here. Plus, I’ve met some of the most interesting, driven, like-minded people I will always carry friendships with!

Best advice you give your trainees?
Follow the systems. They were designed for a reason, and we are really successful when following them. Once you’re out of training and you find yourself off-track, always double-check that you are following the systems and go back to the basics.

Hobbies/what do you like to do for fun outside of TCG?
Hang out with my husband, 2-year-old daughter and one-year-old son. I’m also in a book club, enjoy hiking, love to shop and watch/play sports (I’m notorious for ridiculous smack talk).
