After 600 hours of work, intense testing and attention to detail, our internet marketing department officially launched a brand-new Connor Group website. The relentless efforts were led by SEO specialist Ross Johnson and partner Aaron Helfferich.
A project this big, like anything at the Connor Group, started with making sure we had the right plan, people, and process in place. It’s our tried-and-true recipe for success. That plan started back in 2020, meeting with Larry and outlining the game plan.
“When meeting with Larry about the website, he said, ‘The #1 goal is to generate excitement, compelling prospective residents to pick up the phone and call,’ so that is what we did,” Ross said.
Website 8.25 goals:
- Increase property website prospect to traffic conversion by 20 percent.
- Have a mobile and desktop page speed of 90.
- Have 90 percent of properties on page 1 of Google search results.
- Have 80 percent of properties in top 3 on Google search results.
“Ultimately, we’re making it easier for prospective residents to get the information they need to choose one of our properties as a place to live,” Aaron said. “After extensive testing, we are confident website 8.25 achieves this objective and so much more.”
After five months of developing and testing, the new site went live on Friday. Here are new features to check out:
- New interactive map functionality, giving the ability to see what restaurants, shops, schools and businesses are near a property.
- New branding for each property, including new colors, lifestyle photos and text to draw in our target audience.
- High-definition photos and videos.
- Improved mobile experience.
The changes entice potential new residents to stay on our website longer, learning more about our properties and increase excitement. This will also increase foot traffic and, in turn, help achieve our NOI goals.
“Everything is positioned to drive someone to rent our apartments,” Ross said. “The new branding and interactivity is a game-changer.”
We are not done yet. Throughout the summer, we will continue to make improvements adding new property photos and videos.
